Winnecke is located on a dirt road about 40 klms north west of Arltunga, on 'The Garden' station of Any & Jane Hays.

The cemetery is located some distance away from Winnecke. It is an intriguing sight, with lone wooden palings tilted at angles and others lying prostrate.
