The Appleby Research Organization has established at Family Tree DNA a study group.

The goals of the Project are:

  1. Discover information to help with our family history research
  2. Discover which family trees are related
  3. Discover information to help with brick walls
  4. Confirm surname variants
  5. Validate family history research
  6. Get on file a DNA Sample for trees at risk of extinction of the male line
  7. Discover information about our distant origins
