This branch of the James family has much association with the Paynesville area of Gippsland in Victoria, Australia.
Robert Young JAMES was the eleventh (and last) child of George JAMES and Elizabeth Maria BEALE. He was b. 1859, bp. 27 May 1859 Jesus Chapel, Parish of St Mary Extra UK, d. 2 Apr 1943 Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia, bd. Paynesville, Vic., Aust., m. 4 Jan 1891 Melbourne, Vic., Aust. to Rose Helena MAPLESTONE, b. 16 Jul 1859 "Ivanhoe", Melbourne,(daughter of Charles MAPLESTONE and Isabella Margaret BEALE) d. 22 Jul 1942 Bairnsdale, bd. Paynesville.
There were two children from this marriage :-
Robert Stanley JAMES b. 24 Aug 1891 in Melbourne, d. 10 Jun 1970 at Bairnsdale, m. 20 Jan 1926 at Bairnsdale, to Bessie Elsie MARTIN (daughter of James Thomas MARTIN and Mabel Lendon BROWNLOW) b. 18 Apr 1899 at Bairnsdale, d. 14 Jun 1971 at Bairnsdale, bd. Paynesville.
Isabella Margaret JAMES b. 1895, d. 1895
Robert and Bessie had four children, including :-
Bryan Martin JAMES b. 15 Sep 1926 at "Eaglescourt", Eagle Point, near Bairnsdale, Victoria, m. 31 Oct 1947 to Faye Winifred ROBINSON (daughter of Frederick Albert ROBINSON and Winifred Jessie FLEISCHER) b. Bairnsdale 11 Aug 1928.
Mary Helena Lendon (Molly) JAMES b. 14 Oct 1927 at Bairnsdale. m. 17 Sep 1949 to Alan James FLEISCHER b. 8 Feb 1921.
James Ian JAMES b. 9 Nov 1930 at Bairnsdale, d. 21 Jan 1951 (lost in the volcanic eruption of Mt Lamington, while serving as a Cadet Patrol Officer, Territory of Papua/New Guinea).
Margaret Rose (Marnie) JAMES b. 22 May 1943 at Bairnsdale, m.(1) 30 May 1959 to Eric Reginald HUDSON b. 14 Feb 1934 Maffra, Vic., Aust., d. 24 Jun 1980 Melbourne, bd. Bairnsdale, m.(2) 18 May 1985 in Ringwood, Melbourne, to Garry Kenneth MILNE, b. 8 Aug 1939.
